I am a weather hobbyist who has enjoyed following weather since a young boy. Way back when, I even once asked for a doppler radar for a birthday present. Unfortunately that turned out to be impossible and illegal (Thanks Mom for actually going to News 12 and asking). I’ve continued tracking weather in the years since. I decided to start this weather blog since many friends and family turn to me when they hear the weathermen on TV in a panic over the next coming weather event. I felt that this would be a better medium for sharing information with everyone at once. I plan to focus specifically on Long Island and NYC, this will be an in my backyard blog.
This blog is still a work in progress and I welcome any feedback that you wish to provide. I don’t promise to update it every day, but when a weather of event of significance is approaching you can rest assured I’ll be providing updates.
